½ cup butter
½ cup shallotsChopped finely.
1 cup vodka (good-quality)
56 oz canned crushed tomatoes
1 pt heavy cream

Melt butter and add chopped shallots. Cook on medium until transluscent.

Add vodka sauce, careful to step back when adding as the fumes can get strong. Simmer for 15 minutes.

Add canned crushed tomatoes and simmer for 30 minutes.

Add heavy cream and simmer for 30 minutes.

Serve with your favorite pasta.
