Garlic Yogurt (Raita)

This refreshing Lahasun Raita features plain yogurt and a combination of green garlic with leaves or garlic cloves, cilantro and hot pepper paste. It is also great as a dipping sauce.

 1 cup plain yogurt - whipped and thinned with water or milk as needed
 2 stalks of green garlic with leaves - use both white and green part - choppedor 2-3 garlic cloves - peeled
 1 fresh green chillies, or jalapeños (hari mirch)
 6 stems of fresh cilantro (dhania) - washed and chopped
 ¼ tsp salt or to taste
 ¼ tsp garam masala

Using as little water as possible, grind stalks of green garlic with leaves or garlic cloves, fresh green chillies (hari mirch), fresh cilantro (dhania) into a paste.

Mix all the above ingredients, cover and refrigerate till ready to serve.
