This refreshing cucumber and red onion yogurt (raita) features fresh cucumbers and red onions with plain yogurt and spices.

 1 cup plain yogurt - whipped and thinned with milk or water as needed
 ½ cup cucumber - with or without skin, cut into small pieces or grated
 ¼ cup red onion - peeled and chopped
 ¼ tsp salt, or to taste
  tsp red chile powder (lal mirch)
 ¼ tsp roasted cumin powder (zeera)
 ¼ tsp ground yellow mustard seeds (sarson), or ground small black mustard seed (rai)

Mix all the above ingredients, cover and refrigerate till ready to serve.
