This boondi yogurt (raita) features tiny gram flour fritters soaked and added to spiced yogurt.

 1 cup yogurt - whipped and thinned as needed
 ¼ cup boondi - soaked in water till soft, then squeezed
  tsp salt or to taste
  tsp red chile powder (lal mirch)
 ¼ tsp roasted ground cumin powder (zeera)
  tsp ground black salt (kala namak)
Tempering (Chaunk)
 1 tsp cooking oil
 ½ tsp cumin seed (zeera)
 asafetida (hing)

Mix all the top ingredients.

Heat cooking oil. Roast cumin seed (zeera) and asafetida (hing).

Pour temper (chaunk) over raita and mix.

Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
